Translation
I take documents written in Catalan or Spanish (or both!) and translate them into US English. I do not translate word for word—I prioritize clarity of meaning and the purpose of the source text.

Proofreading
I read through documents for language errors. This includes spelling, punctuation, grammar, vocabulary, and usage errors that will affect the readability of your text.

Copy Editing
I change the structure and tone of the text as necessary to improve effectiveness.
The Process
First you send me the project, along with a summary of your needs such as deadline and formatting.
I then evaluate the project and create an individual quote.
Once we agree, I send you my contract that includes quality assurance, payment terms, liability, client involvement, and deadline.
I update you regularly on the process of your project, especially if dialogue is necessary to clear up ideas and meaning within the source text.
Finally, I send you the finished document in the requested formatting by the requested deadline along with an invoice for my services.
Pricing
Translation is priced by the source word and depends on the language.
Proofreading and copy editing are priced by the hour.
Projects that require heavy background research, special formatting, or have a tight deadline will incur extra charges.
All projects are priced individually based on those factors.
